So, it's been awhile again, but from now on i have something that will prevent this problem. my main reason i haven't been writing is i can never think of what to write about, but it isn't like i don't come up with ideas, i always do, it's just that i always forget when i sit down at the computer to write. so from now on i'm going to carry around what i am calling my "newsletter handbook" which is a small composition notebook that i will write down all my ideas in and discuss them in my newsletters with you readers. so hopefully this recurring problem is finished now.
my first topic is spurred on by my friend nick, who if you are reading this on facebook is tagged over there> and also guest wrote on kasey's day in a newsletter. we were having a pointless argument over words rhyming with themselves. the points of view were as follows:
1. that a word can rhyme with itself because you can have more than one of the same word, and one word is obviously going to sound the same as itself, therefore rhyming.
2.that a word cannot rhyme with itsef because every word sounds like itself, but a rhyme is with two different words.
so, to see which is actually correct, i will give you a definition of rhyme courtesy of dictionary.com
rhyme (in the context we need it)-a word agreeing with another in terminal sound: Find is a rhyme for mind and womankind.
so i know my opinion, but i will let you choose, what is your thought?
so, recently, i had a very stimulating conversation with a very close friend of mine, and we were talking about.......hmm...i'm not even sure how to categorize it. if you all could relate i would call it a "lower brass life talk" but not all of you would get that. so i'll just move on and explain. we came to the conclusion that messages in simple text over either the internet and email or instant messaging services and text messages on your phone can be....i don't want to say bad, but used to conceal i suppose. think about it this way, when you im or text message a person, there is no real-time conversation, you can wait to respond and plan out your next statement, your next move so to speak, as if you were trying to stay one step ahead of the other person in a game of chess. but this is not the only reason. have you ever been with someone and had a conversation, thought about it, and then sent the person a message making sure you know that you may have meant something other than what you said? well this is why it could be bad too, it provides too much of a "crutch" as it was referred to to things like this. making it possible for people to lie outright or be misunderstood, or so many other things.
okay, now for the main point of the argument. these things would not be bad if e could keep faithful to ourselves and our friends at the very beginning of things, first time, not in a repercussion. this is how life and interaction should be. the problem is that it isn't so easily done as it is said. the thing you must do first is figure out who you are and what your truth is before you can pretend to tell friends things honestly. and this is my largest problem in fact. but then, the next step is to learn to be open around others, to stick to truth as a policy and not an option......well, i'm not sure that went as i planned or if it sounded as i wanted it to, but hopefully it did and you get what i was trying to say.
now to a lighter note. last saturday i had some friends over, and we were sitting around the fire when we noticed a strange strip of clouds or smoke or something, that was moving across the sky as a cloud, but was way to thin to stay it's shape and not get distorted. it was strange, we had conversatoins about it. this is how we spend our time, haha, looking into the clouds, telling each other they are going to kill us and something is wrong =P
alright, the end of summer is very close now, and so if you remember a certain newsletter of mine at the beginning of the summer i say the same, you should treat it as a new beginning and try to take advantage of whatever oppurtunities come your way. i will not be putting a newlsetter out next week, my life will be taken over by band camp. so hopefully i will get one out the week after.
questions:
-did you have/are you haven a good summer?
-do you know where swamps come from?
-can you define the color red?

Newsletter #00056
well, so here i sit. utterly embarassed about how long it's been since my last newsletter...
so let me begin by apologizing for that. i'm sorry. i will try harder in the future.
the first thing i want to talk about is how idiotic the court system in massachusetts is, because it has really been bugging me. Yeah, most of us know that the court system works like this:
-you go to the first branch and go before a judge for a decision
-if you feel the decision was unjust or unconstitutional you can appeal it
-appelate court is above and more powerful than the previous court and the decision is final (unless you see it as unjust still where you can keep appealing all the way up to the united states supreme court, if you have that much money lying around)
and this part i have no problem with. that is good, well thought out, effective. the part i have a problem with is the judges themselves. there is nothing anywhere saying that they have to read over anything or even so much as listen to testimony to make a final decision and sign off on it. so it could simply be a choice on a whim. for all the rules care, the judge could be looking between the two papers saying eeny-mini-miny-moe.(haha) but really, they don't have to make an educated and well thought out decision. they may as well pull jurisdictions out of a hat.
well, now that i've got that out i guess i'll tell you a bit about my summer. i don't know if you're interested, but i will. well, i have gone to a few concerts, three at tanglewood. Now, Tanglewood is an amazing place for someone like me. it is the summer home of the boston symphony orchestra and an amazing place to listen to music. the last concert i saw there was the boston pops for film night. absolutely amazing. another concert i attended this summer was a Reel Big Fish concert courtesy of curtis. this really introduced me to the ska genre of music. i highly recommend you try to listen to some, and the band i see running the top of the line for this type of music is streetlight manifesto, i highly recommend you check them out. other than that i've not been doing much, home alone and reading and the sort. i began working on a new form of josh and my school, it's coming along, i may post pictures as to the progress of it here on facebook, it will be a really neat thing when it's done
well, it's all i've got for now, so here are some questions. more than one to make up for my lack of newsletters. i would appreciate answers if you have the time
1.how have your summers been?
2.what is your favorite TV show?
3. if you were stuck somewhere, and all necessities were provided, and you were given two.....wishes let's say. what would they be?

Newsletter #00051
okay, i must apologize right now. i have been behind in getting these out lately, so please forgive me, it shouldn't be happening anymore.
okay, as promised, i have some puzzling paradoxes for you today. hand picked by me.
now, i am providing no answers whatsoever to these paradoxes, so if you want an answer (which i will have for all of the problems) simply send an email to our email address, where you will be sent an answer, so to further facilitate this process, i will also number them. the email address will be at the bottom.
1. The missing dollar paradox:
Three people have dinner at a restaurant. After the meal, the waiter brings over the bill, which comes to $30. So each diner conributes $10
The waiter takes the cash to the manager, who informs him that a mistake was made totting up the bill. The actual cost of the meal was just $25. So the diners have been overcharged $5.
The manager hands five $1 bills to the waiter, and tells him to return them to the diners. However, the waiter wasn't entirely honest. Rather than handing over all five $1 bills, he hands over just three of them. He gives one to each diner, and keeps two for himself.
But there is something amiss here. The three diners end up paying $9 each, making a total of 27$. meanwhile, the waiter pockets $2. But $27 plus $2 adds up to just $29 rather than the origional $30. Where is the missing dollar?
2. racetrack. there seems to be no answer here, but there is refuting information, so yes, you can ask about it.
think of a racetrack. now think of a runner running around this track. now, on this track there is halfway point, one where the runner will have half the trck left to cover, and the runner must reach this point before he can finish his lap. now once he gets to the half way point, he now has half the track to run, but there is still a halfway point between he and the finish line that he must come to, this will mark him having one-quarter of the track left to run. now, if you keep looking that the runner needs to reach halfway points, the argument can be made that it is impossible for the runner to finish, for you can always make a new half way point.
okay, while looking through paradoxes, i found this amazing theory started by Albert Einstien. now here is our father of relativity talkingg about the relevance of time, motion, and time travel. now, i don't know all the facts behind it, but i can tell you what is true.
Einstein figured out that if you were to take two clocks, one you kept in one spot (say your living room, just for an example) and you sent the other on a trip around the earth, that they would actually count time separately and differently, therefore passing trough times at separate rates. this theory is called "time dialation". the only problem with this is that, to show a noticeable difference, the clock going around the world would have to be travelling at speeds nearing the speed of light (which due to another theory is impossible for any object other than light to reach). so, technically, if we could send a man or woman aound the world at close to the speed of light, we would be sending
into the future.
okay, that's all i have time for today, but i think i gave you enough to think about.
question: what is the best excuse you've used?

Newsletter #00050
well tonight, everyone from the newsletter team here is trying to put out a newsletter, hope you enjoy it, because it's been quite the week for us.
alright, i felt the need to explain something to you tonight. what josh and i usually talk about in our free time are things called paradoxes, in fact, we have put some in newsletters, don't ask me to name them, but we have. due to this fact, i felt the need to explaing what a paradox is. now, a paradox is usually viewed as a statement that contradicts itself (not an oxymoron), or something that seems to supercede common sense. it could also be seen as anything with a surprizing outcome or something that contradicts out intuition.
I tell you this because tonight's newsetter is going to be a special, if you will. I am going to load paradox upon paradox on you, and baffle your minds. with any luck, they will get stuck in your head, and then you yourself will have a bit of a trick up your sleeve, so sit back and enjoy. also, the movie review will be at the bottom for those who feel the need to see how that is coming from me.
here is a paradox called "The Airy Box" G. B. Airy was a british astronomer who supposedly found an empty box, wrote on a piece of paper "empty box" and placed it inside. now, as you and i both know, by him placing the piece of paper in the box, it is no longer empty, making the statement untrue.
now, this book i'm reading goes on to explain some things (things i deem HIGHLY unneccesary) that i should also put here, just to get you thinking:
1-placement of the slip of paper could alter the truth. if it were taped to the outside, it would be true. if it were placed on the outside, it would be true. if it were placed on the inside, it would be false.if it were taped on the inside (therefore becoming a part of the interior of the box) it would be true.
2-if you were to write "this box is empty" on the inside of a box, it would be true, because though the ink were in it, it has become a part of the box
okay, i can't keep this going. much more on these things next week i promise.
review:
Second Hand Lions was the movie we all watched together on sunday.
i really enjoyed this movie. if you read one of my newsletters awhile ago, i mentioned those people who you need to meet to understand things better. this showed two of those people. you are introduced to two harsh, cruel seeming men, who you come to care so much about by the end of the film. then the main character (whom i forget the name of) is also someone you come to know and like very much. someone to stand up for himself. the ending is surprisingly not sad either, it is happy
sorry for being so vague, i'm tired. the newsletter on monday willl make up for it, i apologize

Newsletter #00047
well, this is my third attempt at writing this newsletter. i am so aggrivated, i had it completely done, i was tagging people, and it got deleted. ugh.
anyway, some personal news first. i got the voice recognition devise on my computer running, and it is absolutely amazing. i no longer obligated to write newsletters, i can speak them (which is what i did with the first two). i can navigate the computer with no mouse, i got to facebook and wrote the entire newsletter with no pressing of buttons, anr the mouse or anything, it was absolutely amazing. if any one of you has the chance to do this, i highly recommend it. it can get aggrivating, but it's so fun that you really don't have a chance to care.
so, one thing that has really been bothering me lately is the fact that people assume things that they can't prove or say anything about. like hear one thing, transform it into what thier thoughts make it out to be, and then the thing that really kills me, they tell other people about it. i wish people could maybe ask the people involved before telling people or even making these evil assumptions. that's really been bugging me, i would expand more, but i'm tired, so i won't
so, reviews starting next week, one review for the same thing in each of our newlsetters. we will not talk to each other about it, because it may influence the review. sorry to cut this so short, but i am tired, sick of writing this stupid newsletter, and i need to wake up at four o'clock. so here:
question:
if you could ask any question, and get the correct answer, what would the question be?

Newsletter #00042
congratulations to the newly elected student council officers as well as the new band officers. including our new drum majors anna and gabby!
so, today, i would like to announce that i am really excited for this newsletter, for i have something substantial to write about, so please, sit back and try to enjoy.
On relationships:
It has been brought to me recently that there is an entirely different part of a relationship. Now, this could be anything form a normal friendship to a marriage, in each the same resides. Every relationship has one thing in it that fuels the relationship, that keeps it going, and possibly even started it. This being the one item or activity that is quite characteristic of it. this i see to be a part of every thriving, flourishing, and well-deserved relationship.
Now, my inspiration to this notion is not my own thoughts for once, it came from a lecture of a friend of mine, who will be reffered to as bp. bp explained their thoughts very well, and related their words to a boyfriend/girlfriend type situation. they said:
My turn now, I am going to fill in where i feel bp left off. this fact applies to friendships just as much as any other kind of realtionship. Take josh and I as an example, our one thing is getting in overly ridiculously illogical arguments, and it holds us together and helps us through things. for example, when one of us is having a rough time, we talk, knowing that we will have a good conversation about something, and it makes us feel good.
alright, today i was asked a question. "is smell physical or emotional?" and my educated answer is that smell is both. it is physical because for us to smell things at all, atoms (physical objects) need to get into our nostrils and travel to our brains receptors which identifies the substance, and lets our body experience the distinct "smell"
it is emotional because of this: two years ago for the science fair, my friends hillary and jessica did a report on how smell is linked to memory. this experiment included taking what i think was three scents, and letting blindfolded subjects smell them in a random order, and telling them the first thing they think of whenthey smell it. ne of the scents was mint, to which most of the tests replied "christmas". another was the smell of coffee, to which many tests came back saying "morning". so not only is smell emotional, but it can trigger a response or a memory.
though this newsletter seems short, i'm happy with it.
question- we will begin our reviews after finals. what should we review for the first attempt?

Maybe your one things is sharing an apple, the first thing you did together, no matter how ridicuoous it sounds. this is the thing that sustains the relationship when things get rocky. you can say "oh, well, that's okay, we can talk about it over an apple" or whatever your "thing" is. but the thing is always where company is enjoyed and laughs are shared

Newsletter #00041
i would like to take this oppurtunity to congradulate all the seniors, and say good luck with what the future may hold.
now, last week, i went way off on a hugely giagantic (more big words meaning big) tangent from what i meant to write about. now what it was i meant to write about i can't remember for the life of me, so i will try to remember, and if i can't, you will have to read the fruits of my attempt.
time.
time is an interesting thing. for it niether exists nor does not exist. i say that it does not exist because time is something that cannot be defined by man, though we give it a name, we cannot tell what it is. we see things happening, which means we cannot be stuck in a perpetual moment, but then again, what is a moment? i say that it does exist because things happen, with no time passing, nothing would ever happen ever. which brings up another point. for all we know, time just stopped for what we would consider to be a million years, but we didn't notice it, because for our bodies to detect it, we would need what? yes. time.
another thing josh and i argue about randomly once in awhile is this: is there a present or a now?
and my answer is yes, except that it is something that is infintessimately small, an amount f time is something you can always divinde in half, so if you were to say, "i read this sentence now" by the time you finished aying now, now would already be gone, so you would be lying, in a way, but people compensate for this because now seems to have a broad range of possible times to be in (by definition by humans)
hmmm, i sit here at the computer, trying to think of what to go on about next, and i realize that i have a pattern i follow every time i go to think of something. i always put my hand on my chin, after about a minute, i look at the printer next to me, at the button that says "ok". then, slowly my gaze falls down to where the memory chip slots are, then i wake up and eventually start the process over again. i thought you minght be interested, and it just happened like four times, so i felt as if was a part of this newsletter forever.
well, i suppose i am rather dry and out of ideas for tonight, so i leave you first with some news. soon, josh kasey and i plan on writing reviews. no this review can be on anything, like a book a movie, a magazine, and alot of other things i'm sure. this things doesn't have to be recent either, like we could all watch frankenstien and rate that or something.
the way it would work, is say for a movie, we would all watch the movie, and throughout a week, each of us would post a separate rebiew in our newsletters, giving you three opinions.
so there you have it, the news with newsletters
-ideas, comments, suggestions? please forward them to JKBNewsletters@gmail.com
question- what are you looking forward to most this summer?

now, last week, i went way off on a hugely giagantic (more big words meaning big) tangent from what i meant to write about. now what it was i meant to write about i can't remember for the life of me, so i will try to remember, and if i can't, you will have to read the fruits of my attempt.
time.
time is an interesting thing. for it niether exists nor does not exist. i say that it does not exist because time is something that cannot be defined by man, though we give it a name, we cannot tell what it is. we see things happening, which means we cannot be stuck in a perpetual moment, but then again, what is a moment? i say that it does exist because things happen, with no time passing, nothing would ever happen ever. which brings up another point. for all we know, time just stopped for what we would consider to be a million years, but we didn't notice it, because for our bodies to detect it, we would need what? yes. time.
another thing josh and i argue about randomly once in awhile is this: is there a present or a now?
and my answer is yes, except that it is something that is infintessimately small, an amount f time is something you can always divinde in half, so if you were to say, "i read this sentence now" by the time you finished aying now, now would already be gone, so you would be lying, in a way, but people compensate for this because now seems to have a broad range of possible times to be in (by definition by humans)

Newsletter #00039
friends, subscribers, readers, lend me your eyes, i come to make up the news not to tell it, so sit back while the development of my thoughts continues to influence your very minds
so, as the days dwindle toward the end of yet another school year, we look back, what is it this year that we have accomplished? was it what we wanted? was it even close? were events foreseen? or was it a new experience altogether? did we learn something? better yet, did we learn something about ourselves? did we learn something about each other? did we make mistakes? did we learn to fix them? have we thought? have we been open to experience? have we been forgiving? have we accepted facts? have we discovered our own truths? have we experienced happiness? desperation? have we dicovered our true friends? have we been true friends?
and in light of all these questions, i have but a few more, more abstract than anything, so answers are not needed, and appreciated to be left to the beholder. so please.
was it worth it?
would you redo it?
are you happy with it?
do you hold regrets?
as some may have guessed, these questions refer to some of my experiences, and many of these questions still circulate around in my head. though i feel that it applies to many of you, in many more ways than we may see or think. something we reflect on, in something we are searching for. so, maybe one of these days you should look on it, really think, dwell in the thought, let it consume you, maybe even set aside a time, and at the end, i pray that slowly, a smile comes to your face, in light of the amazing things you have accomplished, or if not, learned, experienced, and where it has taken you, for these are the ultimate questions
what is life?
where are we going?
where have we been?
life is one of the world's most amazing works, and it is as i have stated it, a work. and as it is with works, whether it be a beautiful concerto, or a masterful painting, the work and the crafter are in ultimate and unending correspondace. the creator makes the work, trys different things, learns, takes in, and replicates the good, whilst eliminating the bad. and thus is it with life, how does one know where to go without direction, where does one get direction? well, some would say ask another, some would say experience. then, there are those who take a shot in the dark and hope to end where they may be greeted by a soft landing, with softer surroundings, to me, these people define life, they are the defining features of a painting, maybe not the brilliant colors as those with the direction, or those in the background, made to support the rest of the picture, but to see what is really, really happening, you must have these, you must look into them, you must accept them, you must inteperet them, maybe then, and only then will you gain the understanding that things are not entirely what they are up front, and the brighter the forward colors, the harder definition is to find, but knowledge is dealt to those who do, in fact, search. and congratulations to them, for they have seen the image within the image, they have bypassed the accepted optical illusion, they have seen past the masking features and discovered the image within the painting, and will flourish. but to those who do define the hard truth of the painting, do you know where you are going? have you a goal, or are you living the way that we all should? and those bright colors, maybe you should look at the background, to be able to find the first imperfection is to begin a shift, a shift in what? you define it from here, interperet it as you will, i have not read what i just wrote, i do not know what i said, i will not read it again, so say, think what you will, but do me a favor, and take something from it, it has.......... ended to a certain extent my contemplation for the night.
so, as mentioned before, summer is coming, and it is a new beginning, for everyone, so where will you start yours? and where will you end it? where will we all end up?

Newsletter #00036
so, seeing as my other two halves seemed to have skimped on thier newsletter duties last week, i guess i am going to publish 36, instead of 38, haha, i'm just kidding of course, they both wound up busy, so what happened happened
well, today is memorial day, and the parade today went well i would say, things went somewhat quickly, and it wasn't to overbearingly hot. (though some may disagree) nevertheless, it was cooler than last year, so that is always welcome.
so, in light of memorial day, i have decided to assult your minds with some history, though i myself am not a fan of history, i have deemed it quite fit to devote a part of a newsletter to our veterans and serving officers
so, memorial day was origionally started in light of the tragedy of the civil war, the bloodiest war in american history. approximately 620,000 americans were killed. many of the communities of that time began to hold ceremonies and remembrace meetings for the locals that were killed, both in the north and south. after this, a tradition came about of decorating the graves of veterans of the civil war, mostly by the women of the community. then, in 1866, women layed down flowers on union and confederate graves, while veterans marched through the street to a ceremony, which was the first organized recognition of the diceased veterans of the war. waterloo new york on may 5th of 1866 is now known as the "birthplace of memorial day" for being the first place to hold a formally recognized ceremony for the veterans.
and that, my friends, is the history (shortened obviously) of memorial day
so, now i'm going to go on about something i've been doing lately, then end in my newly-established traditional way
i, lately, have been trying to figure out what kind of a personality i have, without using those test things, i just don't trust those, people cannot be held responsible for telling you that trough a multiple choice test, in a way, that is steriotyping. but anyways, i have deemed it impossible, i feel that you yourself cannot decide what kind of personality you have, you can work at changing it, but you cannot name or classify it. my next method i believe would be to ask friends who know me well, but it is another one of those "only human" cases, ganted i would trust my friends with my life, and it is no multiple choice quiz, i just can't see myself accepting things that they would say for the most part.
i feel that that was a highly unproductive paragraph, but if it helped or interested anyone i have accomplished something
question- if you could make any kind of holiday, what would it be? what would it be called? what time of year would it be?
Quote- the truth of a thing is the feel of it, not the think of it
urrrgh, another short one, sorry

Newsletter #00035
soooooooo, urrgh, monday, and it's already been a week that has lasted forever
so, josh and i were talking bout a show that i recently viewed called "life after man" or something to that effect, if you've seen it or seen commercials, you'll know what i'm talking about. anyway, we were talking about what they said in it, and one of their major reiterated points was that in approximately one-hundred thousand years, all cities, including chicago and manhattan, will be reduced to nothing more than a flat plain. in fact, it showed a picture of what manhattan will be, and it literally showed the place where the city was as a completely flat plain with multiple rivers running through it. i don't completely agree with this, but according to josh and sam, it is in fact possible. so i will side with them
i also had to laugh, a few years back, on a space station, we sent up something called an "immortality drive" this is a chip with written dna and dna samples of three human beings, being stephen hawkings, stephen colbert, and joe.....something, it's a girl, despite the first name. anyway, the funny thing is this- it was sent up in case some caticlismic event destroyed life on earth, so another species could find that we existed, the problem is this: without humans regulating the altitude, it would drift about two miles closer to earth each year, until it finally would re-enter the atmosphere, and burn up. this is the fact that makes this so-called "immortal" drive, entirely mortal.
well, my mind is on one of those overdrive think nights when i have a million ideas and thoughts, but none of which i can discuss, so i will try to come up with one more thing, and if not you will know, because i will move on to my quote/question, then the following announcements
alright, different order, announcements, then a different version of question, then quote then done
so announcements
we would like to ask all you readers to try to get as many people to read these as possible, please, we want to see where we can take this and what we can do with this, so please, let friends and freinds of friends know about what we do, and give them our no-longer exclusively facebook operation, give them our blog or website address (once again, www.newslettergroup.blogspot.com) and ask them to read, leave comments, whatever, more readers would really be nice
okay, for the questions, this is going to be a reader-opinionated response section, do what you can, and any and all anwers are greatly appreciated:
1. what additions would you like to see? what do you think would make this more interesting to more people? an example of an idea could be us going and seeing movies, then giving our own thoughts on it, like a review, just little sections to add like that, so any ideas are cool, and taken seriously i can assure you, we have alot of plans
2.do you have any likes/dislikes about these newsletters, if so, please feel free to share, we can't ask for praise and not expect criticism, so say what you want
3. will you try to get more people involved and reading these?
okay, now for the ending quote on a sadly short newsletter
- falling in love is alot like dying. you never get to do it enough to become good at it

Newsletter #00032
yay! newsletter! i am so happy to be writing something other than a report
first and foremost is personal news. I got a new saxophone!! yay!! it is a silver, yamaha soprano saxophone with gold keys. it is an intermidiate model, with no neck detatchment. I urge you to look at my profile picture it is there, though my profile picture is actually a different saxophone, the one in my picture is a jupiter artist's series with a detachable neck, but it similar colors.
second, to torture you bando's out there, i know next year's show, but i cant tell, so ha :-P
henceforth, this will be a facebook-related newsletter, my views on some of the goings-on lately here on facebook, and a couple possible ideas, so here goes. oh, almost forgot, i will number them, the bottom will explain why.
1.)first, becoming fans of things. when did this even happen? what is the purpose? who came up with it? it is an idea that i myself have not actually participated in as of yet, but i think i will start becoming a fan of things, it seems a neat concept with me, it's like a quick way to say i enjoy this without actually having to write it in your profile, so this gets a check by me, i like this
2.)poking people. i realize this isn't new, but nobody has said anything like any of this in a newsletter yet, so i claim my stake. poking is amazing, and will be, i have enjoyed poking people since before i knew what a facebook was, now i can do it with half the effort, and get into all-out poking wars with friends, this was an amazing idea, one i really enjoy
3.)the like button. this is n interesting idea, it is used for saying you enjoy something without having to comment, which is the purpose i think. but for me, even though i do like the quickest thing, i do not like the "like" button, if you are going to tell a person you "like" something, you should be more personal
4.)the absense of a "dislike" button. we have to be fair facebook, there need to be a dislike button if there is a like button, you can't always like everything, so what if it can be a bad thing sometimes? if there was i dislike button, i could justify the like button.
5.) the chatbox that they literally just changed. i don't like how it is now, i like how they display the pitures of the half-moon people now, but seriously, if you are going to keep changing something, make a change worth making, it is still aggrivating to use, and slow to respond, i give this change an F, if you are going to change it, make it responsive and easier to use.
6.)groups. groups are amazing, actually, josh just made one for these notes, join now or else. it is an amazing way to hold things together, groups was definately one of the better ideas here on facebook.
7.)notes. Where would we be without notes? notes make these newsletters possible, and other types of communication possible as well, to me, it is the best thing here on facebook (even if some of the quizzes passed on are bad)
8.)the inbox/messenger thingy. This is something i see as completely stupid, i cannot stand it, if you want to contact someone, write on their wall, tag them in a note, seriously, the only thing is is good for is private messaging or large group contacts. it is very annoying to me, and sometimes you don't even notice you have a message, urrgh, one of the more aggrivating things on facebook.
9.)apps, apps are fun, but eat up your time, like i really enjoy graffiti and the flair apps, but they eat away at my life, and it hurts, apps have sharp teeth.i believe they are worth keeping though
10.)ads. who actually pays attention to these ads? some of them are really messed up i think, like those creepy tee-shirt ones. i am against ads, but for them at the same time, i like the fact that facebook is free to use don't you?
now for the epitome of my random rambling, my qustion tonight is this:
for numbers 1-10, what is your opinion? do you agree with me? and do you have any arguments other than what i have? if so please feel free to make them, i want this to be a newsletter very open to discussion
quote-he who knows other is wise.he who knows himself is enlightened
Notice
pay attention to the next few newsletters, i would like to start something new, but still need to consult kasey and josh, my other two halves in this corporation of sorts (and yes, i am composed of three halves, don't ask how i do it, it's a secret)

Newsletter #00030
so, thirty, wow, cool, well,
stopping with the commas
this will be short, i will explain magic squares, and be done for the day, sorry
first, a mgic square is a n by n box, such as 3x3, or7x7, which are the two i will be discussing today
but i first need to explain, that in a magic square, each row, column, and diagonal, add up to the same number, in a three by three (3x3) all the rows and columns add up to fifteen.
now, the first thing you need to find in a 3x3 is the center number, so, i will make a three by three, where every blank space is represented by a zero

alright, so, as you can see, this holds nine numbers, so to find the center number, we will need to pick one, which, added to two other numbers, can make the number 15 four different ways, one for vertically, one for horizontally, and two for each diagonal.
so, to find it, you line up the numbers, and see what you can do:
and actually, to take the guessing out of it, i will tell you, it is 5, it makes fifteen in these ways
5+9+1=15
5+8+2=15
5+7+3=15
5+4+6=15
so, now we have this
so, let's look at the first item on my addition list, a nine and a one with a five, now, a nine or a one can only make two possible combinations that could make fifteen, so let's take nine, for example, it can only make fifteen like this:9,5,1 9,4,2
so, now that we know it can only make two combos, we know it goes in a horizontal or vertical row, i will put it in a vertical row
so, now, we will make fifteen with the nine in the top row by adding our 4 and 2 combination
then we complete the diagonals by simply putting in numbers that make them add to fifteen
and the last two are easy, so i'll just fill those in too
and there you have it, all vetrical, horizontal, and diagonal lines add to fifteen
noow, the seven by seven, there is a trick to it, so i will put it up, see if you can see the pattern, and if you really can't, i will write it at the bottom (by the way, every column adds to 175 if you really want to try to prove me wrong)
alright, for those that got it, congrats, for those who didn't, look at the one, then go one space right to the bottom, there is the two, then go up one, right one, and you will get 3-7 until you hit 1 again, then it drops a space and goes to eight, and the pattern continues like that throughout, there is another way too, i will post it, but not explain it, this will take the question portion, what is the pattern?
16 46 27 1 31 12 42
35 9 39 20 43 24 5
47 28 2 32 13 36 17
10 40 21 44 25 6 29
22 3 33 14 37 18 48
41 15 45 26 7 30 11
4 34 8 38 19 49 23
stopping with the commas
this will be short, i will explain magic squares, and be done for the day, sorry

Newsletter #00026
well, it's sunday right now, but i'm bored, so i'm gonna work on the newsletter that will start us back up after that vacation, we figured that most people wouldn't be around or reading these over the vacation, so we decided to just take a week off, which was obviously to give ourselves a break as well.
sometime last week i was watching a show on geoengineering, which combines alot of things, but it basically people working to "engineer" the world we live in. What this particular episode was about was reducing CO2 (carbon dixide) levels in the air, and one of the scientists' ideas was to increase the amount of algea in the oceans. the reason he thought of this was for the next few reasons:
-the ocean takes up what? like seventy-some-odd-percent of the earth?
-with that much surface area, having it suck the CO2 out of the atmosphere would be very efficient
-plankton (or algea, i don't remember which they used, and i know there are differences, but you get what i'm saying) uses up or soaks up a very large amount of CO2 and when it dies, it simply sinks to the bottom of the ocean.
to increase the amount of plankton in the oceans, you would simply need to provide extra nutrients to all the plankton in the ocean, and their numbers would increase exponentially. Now, how would we go about doing this on such a large sacale? well, they found a way, first, you should know that in the ocean, at the approximate depth of 1,000 feet, the waters are nutrient-rich, so this scientist devised a clever, yet simple way of moving this water up to the surface to the plankton, he made a one-way valve, attached to the bottom of a 1,000 foot tube, which is attached to a buoy at the surface of the water, and what powers the pump is the motion of the waves, when the buoy goes down, water is let into the tube, but when it is pushed up by a wave, the water is forced to the surface by the valve that has now closed, similar to the ones in your heart, it serves the same purpose.
well i don't know about all of you, but i am more than happy to get back to school after this vacation, if i happen to be alone on that one, you can leave me that way, i won't be offended. but it was a really long boring weeek, so long, in fact, that i added an extra e. but as i was saying, it's kinda nice to go back, with a bit of a fresh start, a little more rest in us (hopefully). and a little more patience, and willingness, or at least until the week ends and it once again just becomes school, but now it's summer, and things will get brighter. figuratively and literally. the only thing i won't be able to deal with is the heat, i will get used to it eventually, but i cannot sleep at all when it is hot and humid outside, then there is tim, who happens to prefer it, hmm, oh well.
the dvd player at my house recently stopped working, so i was given the pleasure of taking it apart to get all the dvd's it ate, and so we could get the trash people to take it. it was alot of fun, i love looking at all the little parts that go into, i don't understand how any of it works, electricity goes through it, and that is really all i know about it. but it was coool, how all the wires are wrapped, and how those green frames with the little metal lines in them are arranged and connected, i was soo fascinated.
speaking of trash people, i have recently deemed the people that run the waste management office really stupid. we stopped paying for our trash, so they told us to leave out our barrel and they would take the barrel, well, we threw some trash in it too, thinking they might as well take it when they took the barrel. well, when we got home, the barrel was still there, but the trash was gone, so we called the office, and they said they would fix it. so we did the same thing, with the same result, they took our trash. So for about a month now, we have been having our trash taken for free, because the trash guys either didn't get the message, or didn't get the idea, hey, no complaints here.
well, now that i filled you all with a bunch of stories, and less of my usual contemplations on things, let's tell another
for those of you who have not heard of the swine flu, here is what's going on right now:
about a week ago in mexico, a fever sprang up called the swine flu, which occurred in pigs, but what happened now is this, people have been getting it from pigs, and it is passed from human to human extremely easily, so many people have been catching and passing on the disease, and is no light disease, this will kill you.
safety precautions are now being practiced in mexico, and most things are shut down in bad areas. The problem lies in tourism, for all those sad souls that went to mexico to have a nice vacation and happened to catch this flu from someone. the problem is that they have to come back home, most by plane, and what are planes? small enclosed spaces. Many people on the planes can catch it if one person on the plane is infected.
so then all these sick people get off the planes into america, into europe, asia, wherever they came from initially. Then they do everyone the favor of spreading the disease.
right now, there are quite a few documented cases of this in america, mostly in california, many in new york, so far none in MASS, but it probably will. it is expected that there will be deaths from this within days, and if we cannot prevent it soon enough, we ourselves here in gardner may need to wear safety masks to school within the next two weeks. scary huh? this is very serious, and has the potential to reach pandemic status, though many people are working on it already, so we will wait and see what will go on with this.....
okay, ending it here today
quote- it is only with the heart one can see clearly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
question-
part one- do you like these questions at the end? if yes, continue to part two, and please say so below, if no, please say so below, and do not bother with part two, if you do, you must put a yes, this is a strict rule that will be enforced more strictly than you could imagine.........
part two!!- what is your favorite memory?
i like the questions, i think it generates conversation

Newsletter #00025
Ugh, monday, and it's been a long week already, well, i hope you all had a good easter, and if not, i hope this can help ease your not-good-easterness
so, here is one of my most recent observations, one that has probably been stated by many people before me in many different ways, in fact, i think there is a group here on facebook that is about it, but here goes anyway. I believe that everyone in the world is connected, it may be a long chain to get there, but we really are, look at it as i explain it.
Every person has a different interest, and when someone has an interest, they usually enjoy sharing said interest with someone who has the same interest. So to accomplish this desired rendezvous with the person with whom they share interests, they usually join interest groups or group activities to express themselves to and with other people, who become good friends after time. These groups could pertain to alot of different areas, sports teams, book clubs, debate teams, math teams, SADD, bands, or even just a group of close friends.
Now, the way i see things is as follows: nobody has only one interest, even if the other interest is very small. so most people are interested in many a different thing, so they join these interest groups and teams according to what they like, usually two or three at any given time. While people are with their respective groups, as said before, they make friends, acquaintences, companions, all of whom probably also have another interest and are in yet another club, probably one that the origional person doesn't belong to. Like me, i belong to several bands, SADD, a group of friends that get together, the newsletter team with Kasey and Josh, so on so forth. In each of these groups i have made friends that are in other things, they have a job or are in NHS or something that i myself have no part in. and i am undoubtedly sure that each and every one of these friends i make is in another group, that has madefriends in their other respective groups.
The way i see it, this connects everyone (or most people at the very least) in the world through creating an interweaving net of interests that encompasses just about everyone. and there is my concluson, now, like i said, many people have said like things, here is my origional version of it, no matter how origional or unorigional it may seem to any one of you.
While i am on the subject of groups and friends, let me share another quite recent revelation to myself. as mentioned multiple times now, i am a member of various bands, from prestigious to community, and in each and every one, i notice that i can relate with almost everyone in them automatically. i find i can finish their sentences and things.
unfortunately, i really have to get off the computer, so i have to end here

Newsletter #00022
congrats to band and women's choir for their silver medals, good work.
i like putting these little things first, i'm not sure what it is exactly, i think it's just the easiest way to start off my newsletters, like even when i have no announcements, i say what i am doing, or something to that effect, i think it makes the transition from my life to at the computer writing just a little bit easier, this is how it is with me, i need some sort of introductory experience into everything, then i can get comfortable and into whatever it is that i should be doing. like speaking, i always have to say how it is my opinion or say something stupid before i speak, it gets me less nervous, or it prepares me, i'm not quite sure which it really is.....huh....
so here is an announcement that josh semi-mentioned n his last note, he and i are going to build s school, no, not an actual educational building, but it will be a model, probably a few feet long, it will be composed of three floors, ones which you will be able to see, it will be a "building block" school. we will be able to take the roof and all the floors off so to be able to observe the individual classrooms and offices, and gyms, and our largest feat, our what will be extravagant auditorium. the inside will be detailed, we will have desks, painted hallways, painted gyms with basketball hoops, a detailed auditorium with curtains, a main entry way, and windows in every room possible.
now, you would probably think that this will be alot of work, and you are right. but josh and i love the idea, so over the summer and most likely into next year we will be working on the design scheme, how we are going to get the floors to fit together, designing the auditorium, planning the sports fields effectively, placing josh's so-called tetrahedron on our roof which will become a skylight. on top of this, we will need bleachers, a track, defined school colors, a curriculum so we can decide what rooms to have (Ex. home ec., art, band, chorus, photography *which would require a dark room*, so on so forth)
at the bottom of this note i am going to attempt to place a picture of our overall building design, i would like to know what you think, what classes we should have, maybe suggestions (can't assure we will use them all, but input is always always appreciated) but that is our grand design for awhile now, tell me whatcha think.
I was having a discussion with curtis this morning, it was about laughing. have you ever noticed how all the words that are like laughing end in -le?for example, giggle, chuckle, etc.. well, we decided that laugh for us will now be laughle (laugh-le) this word can be used in sentences. I laughled at the joke. the comedian had the crowd laughling wildly. You see? it makes so much sense, haha, well, the main reason i put this in here is this, i would like to see how many people i can get to start using this word. now you don't have to obviously, but it would be some fun, its just one of my little social experiments. so use it if you can, and see where it takes us!
Josh and i were having one of our strange discussions over luch today, and we were arguing (of course)
about which would be better, flying, or being able to transport instantaneously. here are the two views, josh said that if you were able to transport, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the feeling of flight and not be able to seethe world from up high, which i agree with, i would very much like to be able to fly and be in the clouds, but, my thing is this, i would rather transport because:
1. you could still technically trasport into midair, fall, and transport before you hit the ground
2. you could transport to the top of a high place, and look down, and still se all you sights
3. you could avoid conflicts in a way, it is immediate, so the second you want to, you can be gone from a place
4.you could sneak up on people, it would be funny(my personal thought)
well, this is all i have for the week
quote:
reality does not exist--yet
question:
1. will you begin using the new word?
2.if you could start a club, what would it be?
oh, sorry for the lack of picture and extra explanation down here, i can't find the camera

2. you could transport to the top of a high place, and look down, and still se all you sights
3. you could avoid conflicts in a way, it is immediate, so the second you want to, you can be gone from a place
4.you could sneak up on people, it would be funny(my personal thought)
well, this is all i have for the week
quote:
reality does not exist--yet
question:
1. will you begin using the new word?
2.if you could start a club, what would it be?
oh, sorry for the lack of picture and extra explanation down here, i can't find the camera

so, here i sit with a head filled with music and a mind void of good ideas, so we will see where this goes.....
it will have to be short
Today while taking mcas i realized how much i hate mr. cuadra's room, the desks are sooo small, i couldn't fit all of my things there, i fear for tomorrow when i have to manage two booklets at once. more space always seems nicer though, thats why i liked the library so much better, i had space, and everything was so much more comfortable.
have you ever asked a question that you expected a deep answer for, or a thorough conversation from, and gotten a blunt or sudden response? even just an unexpected one? then afterward walk away saying "why did i even ask that question?" well, this happened to me recently, and i thought about it, and i wondered if i should really consider it a stupid question if it was one that i was looking to obtain an answer from, or one i expected to gain something from. if there was some purpose, can it really be considered stupid?
ugh, i am very sorry about this, i have to end it here, i am having serious mental blocks right now... i blame mcas, i promise a substantial one next monday
quote from phone-
a handful of friends is worth more than a wagon of gold
question-
what in your opinion is the "ideal" breakfast?

Newsletter #00017
well, before i get started here, i'm gonna say congrats to all those in jazz one for their silver medal, good job!
alright, my topic for the day, rights and privelages. Have you ever gotten to do something and been told to be thankfull, because it is a good privelage? well, who is to say that whatever you are doing isn't a right? I mean look at our nation, we have all these rights, but are told to be privelaged to have them, which shows another point, that they usually exist somehow together, so who are you to pick one out of a situatipon as opposed to the other? another discrepancy that i see in all this is as follows:
-A privelage or a right is defined by humans
-Humans are very erroneous creatures
due to this, i don't think we could even say or establish a fact of something being right or privelage. We have a right to speech, but we are privelaged to be at one or give one. this seems strange to me.
What are rights and privelages anyway? i believe a right is something we are considered "naturally" deserve (i.e. food, water, speech, etc.). And a privelage is something that we are "Allowed" to do by another person. Which is another problem, who is one person to tell another person wether or not they have permision to do something? One person technically should not have power like this over another person usn==nless there is some type of agreement worked out between the two people. One examples of this could be living arrangements "If you live with me, i will allow you to(give you the privelage of) own a dog." This is possible i think, fair. I see this because if one person is living easier due to the esablishment of another person, the person that is the owner of said establishment should have the say over what privelages to dole out or take away. An instance of somewhere that i would not see privelages given or taken fairly would bea neighbor. Say they come over one day and tell you cannot play music at night anymore (not saying it was loud and bugging them, but just randomly because they don't like you and because i can give you improbable situations like this.)But like i was saying, your neighbor comes over and puts a restriction on when you can listen to music, from 8-10 only they say. Then they would not have authority to tell you what not to do. (if it was in fact bugging them because you were playing loud music late at night, then i believe a compromise should be made, but other than that, this is how i feel)
Another way people look at rights (or at least i feel) is as a set of rules, things you must abide by. In reality, rights are what are protected by laws, but once again, who is to say what a right is? in our country, we believe we have a right to speech, where as in another country, they might believe they have the right to kill you for even thinking that. So what is a right? and do people really deserve everything that we qualify as a "right?"
And is there some sort of "grey area" where the line between right and privelage is slurred and undefined?
Alright, now on to my scarily similar second topic, the difference between right and wrong. Once again, human definitions, just to get that out of the way. What is right and what is wrong? we are said to be gifted by free will or an ability to choose, as well as a way of telling right from wrong, which could also be referred to as a conscience. here is my thing, the line between right and wrong can be very slurred, especially in how you are brought up, just to show another improbable extreme, say your parents brought you up well, and you had a bunch of people around you that belived the same things as you, so you developed the sense that writing on walls was bad, it was not an okay thing to do. then, your neighborbrought up their child just the opposite, and they were constantly around bad people, they minght not only think that drawing on the wall was okay, but possibly breaking the whole thing dawn as well. Even the explanation i just gave you shows my point, i said that i se someone that sees drawing on the wall as bad as a good person. (granted that one thing doesn't make anybody a good person, though it lends itself to it in most cases i know of)this shows that i was brought up and surrounded by people who put the idea in my head that writing on the wall is generally a bad thing.
maybe if i gave a better example.......
okay......
here's one...
drinking, now, i am absolutely dead-set against drinking, but i know that in today's world, there are in fact children that grow up to believe that drinking isn't bad for them (or people around them), which causes problems for them in their childhood and in their future in most cases. And i believe that this is due to the way they were brought up and to the people they have been surrounded by during their lives, and so became accustomed to the idea of drinking as possibly a good thing as opposed to a bad thing.
S.A.D.D. is doing another 84 campaign, so go check out the tables duing lunches these next two days, we need to complete these misions!!
alright, here's something new, from now on, as well as a question, i am also going to put in a quote that i like, sometimes it will be funny, sometimes random, sometimes wise, and very rarely, but sometimes relative to what i have said, and they are also off a new application off my phone, so on days that i can't find a good one, you will have to deal with the one you get, so here is today's:
If in doubt, mumble.
and as for the question portion, i will throw in one for lauren:
if you were to jump from a high place with a large ball with handles on it, would you be able to land safely? or would the ball turn over and have you land on your back?

Newsletter #00014
so, sorry i didn't publish last week, i was in the pit for the play, and the rehearsals just didn't grant time, josh could tell you that, he just was lucky that the one day off we had was wednesday night. haha
So, here's a bit of a new concept, now don't quote me, because i don't really believe one word i am about to say, but like i said, its a neat concept. dimensions, we as three dimensional creatures cast two dimentional shadows, so would not four dimensional objects cast three dimensional shadows?(this a direct quote from josh, and granted i do not agree entirely, i'm going to use it anyhow). now, suppose that all these spaceship sightings that get reported are shodows of four dimensional objects passing through our world, or better yet, simply four dimensional objects passing through our dimension, the third one.
based on this possible theory, i have made my own, and like i said, its more than unlikely, but still neat to think about. say that each dimension, 1st-5th (just for good measure) was on a separate beam of existance. for example, our universe and all that it contains are a part of a beam or arm that consists only of three dimensional objects. Now put that idea to every dimension i mentioned, 1-5. now that you have that envisioned, take these five beams, and extend them infinately and twist them round and roun and round each other, so that they are a tangled mess, but none are touching each other. Now, each of these "strings" of dimensions as i will refer to them has an entirely permeable outer edge, but only by the strings of other dimensions, but cannot pass through itself, because if you think about it, that would cause choas in some form or another, to have multiple sections of a dimension in one place. But back to this mass of strings of dimensions, they are strings that are always moving and shifting, and therefore, must pass through one another quite frequently, but only in one small place (comparatively), so this could be happening to a part of our dimension that we have no knowledge of right now, and we wouldn't know it. This my theory on the sightings of spacecraft, maybe they are four dimensional beings or shadows of them passing through our dimension while our respective string passes through theirs.
while we are on theory's in space, i am going to ignore physics even farther and give you some interesting information, some that i myself find funny. Now, have you ever seen a girl on a motorcycle with her hair blowing in the breeze or wind because of how fast the motorcycle is moving? well, in space, you could literally be travelling at 3million miles per hour (assuming that every part of you was accelerating at the same rate until at a stable speed) and your hair would not blow in the wind. this is because on earth, we have an atmosphere which is composed of definate particles, and when these particles hit your hair, they force it back, in the void of space, there are no particles to hit your hair, so it could not recieve resistance, and therefore would not blow behind you in the wind.
Alright, nother theory, you would not hear noise in space either. this is why:
-on earth, the initial vibration shakes the matter around it, which causes a chain effect of matter intil it reaches your ears
-in space, there is no matter to vibrate to reach your ears, so there would be an initial vibration, and it would stop there
due to this, you could take a pair of crash symbols in space, and hit them in front of your face as hard as you want, and you wouldn't hear it.
well, that's all i have for now, here's your question
is going backwords progress? for example, if you are building a house, and the roof falls off, is that not still progress? even if it is negative progress? progress toward deconstruction?
actually, i just thought up another, so here, after you answer that one above, read this one
do you belive that patterns can reapeat? and if so, do you think a repeat of a pattern can predict the future?

Newsletter #00009
ahhhhhh snow, i would say gotta love it, but you really don't, I don't. I was looking forward to the first snow of winter, then the rest of it was not quite so fun. Now that i think of it, there are alot of things that are much like i just described, things you look forward to, are very excited for, but after the first part yuo get kind of bored with it. There are many things like this, for me, school is one of them, always, so is band camp, the first day of jazz band. Of course this is coming from me, the band geek, but im sure that you could think and find a way to apply this into your own lives.
I'm sure that we are all getting a little sick of these ridiculous snowdays too, granted its nice now, but when days are taken away, it really loses its bit of gleam.
Haha, i was shoveling earlier, and i felt like i was in one of those "tootsie pop" commercials, but it was switched, instead of "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?", it became "how many scoops of snow does it take to reach the end of the driveway?
"Well, i've really no set subject today, i've just been relaxing, well, other than taking care of chris and doing the driveway, but it was worth it, it gives me something to do, not haveing something to do is always really bad for me, i'm not entirely sure why.
hey, here's an idea, just to get some comments coming in, why don't we have everyone that reads this comment about what they did during thier day off, it's something, yes?
This has been a hard note to come up with topics for, as you can probably tell, it really jumps around a bunch with random ideas. I'm just im a weird sorta mood, one of those ones where you feel like you need to think alot, im not sure if you can relate or not, im sure some can, but its just one of those days. Though many days are one of those days it seems, but this day especially, haha.
communication between people has seemed to be lacking in a lot of people and places lately, look at school, all these rumors, (though it is high school and there are always rumors). I find that some orginizations in the school aren't really completely together either. Then there is always person to person, but that can't be helped
well, that is all i have for now, im sorry if this was kind of empty.
question-
if you were to narrow down personalities to four main types, what would they be?
so look for josh's note on wednesday(double digits YAY!!!), and make sure to be friends with kasey for her premier newsletter on friday

Newsletter #00008
sorry this one is late, i figured i could to make up for the one josh did late, these last two days have been ridiculous, anyhow, here is my quick newsletter.
Earlier this week, josh and i were discussing emotions, but not just emotions, but how the emotions flow together and are interrelated. We actually had discussed one in particular that seems to me actually spurred this discussion on. this was the emotion of love. We have come to decide that this is the emotion of the utmost importance, the one emotion that we could find that had relation to every emotion except for one, which i will get to eventually.
Well into the relation of emotions. emotions seem to have little chains of events, ones that are persistent, though some steps in these chains of sorts can be skipped. one of the ones josh and i came up with was something like sadness-confusion-frustration-anger, granted this is vague and can be altered in many different ways, it is an example. haha, now as i write it, i think of star wars (something my brother insists on watching like EVERY day) when yoda was going on to anakin saying something like sorrow leads to suffering, suffering leads to anger, anger leads to hate, so on so on, and yes, i realize that that is most likely incorrect for all those star-wars enthusiasts out there.
Alright, now on to the love aspect, we came to the conclusion that love fuels almost every emotion. (granted this is on our definition, there are many, all able to be interpreted, and all made by humans) We believe this, or maybe i do, anyways, I belive that love spurs on the other emotions, you lose something you love-you become angry, confused, frustrated, lost, all these things. love finds a new way into your life, you are happy, joyus. now when i say love, i do not mean necessarily toward a person, but an object, an idea, even a possiblility. the one argument that really arose was when people would say something like, "oh, i'd love to get 100 on the test" would they really? i'm not so sure, i believe it is another expression that the human race has lost meaning for, and is now used lightly and without thought.
Lastly, the one emotion we came across to not be affected whatsoever by love, actually, the moment love is involved, this cannot occur-indifference. I believe that it is impossible to be indifferent about something you love, hate, once loved, or once hated, this i see as a complete impossibility.
And so ends another short newsletter, sorry
oh, question.....hmmm.......
do you think there is a fourth dimension, and if so, what would it be, if you could make it
(i realize there are some other dimensions than x,y,z but disregard them, haha)
AND for the winner of the note contest
the winner of this contest was Kasey Leblanc!
so you should be hearing from her again sometime soon, pay attention and find out when!
